Men are generally less particular about their outfits than women, but careful planning should still go into their wardrobe choices. Ensure that every top works with every bottom and that each item is easy to wash and quick to dry.
Although baseball caps, baggy cargo shorts and a college football t-shirt is perfectly acceptable attire as you go about a relaxed Saturday afternoon in North America, it is not the typical attire for the average European male. Aside from a beach day, you will notice most European men favor a more tailored look. We aren't talking ties and top hats, just clothes that fit the body and enhance instead of hide. Collared shirts or a nice t-shirt with well fitting pants are the norm, and if you see a baseball capped head walking around you are 98% guaranteed that you have just spotted a tourist.
